About Us

Founded in late 2009, the Jedi School Spiritual Education Center seeks to encourage education in spirituality, and to reduce suffering in the world.

Currently, the Jedi School Spiritual Education Center operates as a Utah faith-based nonprofit organization (a religious charity), and acts through the following organs of the organization:

AESOP

Assistance to Educate Spiritually-Oriented People: Coordinates donations of money and materials so that those who are both spiritually-oriented and economically disadvantaged can be educated in the tradition of their choice (whether Jediist or not).

AFDY

Aid to Families with Dependent Youth: Assists families who do not qualify for public assistance, or who do qualify but are not receiving benefits for any reason (available to members of Jedi School only, funds permitting).

AM/FM

Aid to Military/Family Members: Assists military service personnel and their families in obtaining spiritual materials, counseling, and civilian support. This aid is also available to family members of those who are able to provide verification for being in the international intelligence community, again for the purpose of obtaining spiritual materials.

DROP

Disaster Relief Organization Program:Assists disaster relief organizations in logistics related to natural and other disasters; including (but not limited to) locating, facilitating, and transporting supplies and volunteers for disaster relief efforts.

FONSI

Feeding Our Needy Sentient Individuals: Provides nutritious sack lunches and groceries to those in the areas we operate, based on availability of food, funding, and volunteers. Special dietary needs include food for those who might have medical issues (such as celiac disease), those who have made life choices to restrict certain foods (food colorings, meats, etc.), and special support for religion-based dietary needs in situations where it is difficult to offer support (for example, at prisons and other institutions, where the expense would simply be too much of a burden on the institution).

HAP

Homeless Assistance Program: Helps homeless families and individuals locate and procure resources in order to end homelessness. Currently operating in Utah, Arizona, Idaho, Wyoming, Oregon, New Mexico, Texas, British Columbia, and Quebec Province. Plans to expand are based on volunteer efforts.

JEP

Juvenile Education Program: Assists underprivileged children in developed countries can have the school equipment that they need.

PNN

Peace Negotiation Network: A volunteer network of individuals whose aim is to reduce or prevent hostilities by offering both free and compensated services to provide neutral negotiators, mediators, and arbitrators to groups who require a neutral stance. Currently operating only within the United States, with plans to expand as volunteers join the network. Outside the USA, compensation is required in order to provide for travel, food, lodging, and time for one negotiator and one assistant. All negotiators are fully trained by Jedi School before being permitted to be dispatched.

TCF

Temple Construction Fund: Collects monies for building and maintaining Jediist temples and other physical structures for the global Jediist community (including those who do not subscribe to the Jedi School methodologies or ideals, but who are within the Jediist community). Currently invested in collecting funds to establish an ecumenical campus for the study of all of the world's religions throughout the Earth's history.

VAN

Victim Action Network: Collects monies for use in getting people out of abusive situations, and coordinates volunteers who are willing to take in victims of abuse in order to assure that they are "off the grid" for a while. Volunteers have no expectation of repayment, they do it out of a sense of seeing that there is need. Available to all who need it.

We do not restrict service to those of Jedi faith, but instead seek to help those in need.

The Jedi School Spiritual Education Center is not a registered nonprofit and has not collected enough funds to require registration with either the State of Utah or the US Internal Revenue Service. However, one of our aims is to eventually register with both the IRS and the State of Utah, and we are collecting funds to this end as well. Funds may be earmarked for precisely this purpose when donating, and from a tax perspective in the United States are still considered charitable donations to a religious charity.

The current facilities of the Jedi School Spiritual Education Center consist of an old shed on a residential property in Sandy, Utah, as well as having permission to use backyards and living rooms throughout the Wasatch Front area. We also have a meeting place in Ogden, Utah, which is usable by permission in exchange for assisting the tenant with sorting, organization, and rearrangement of the space so that it may be used for a commercial purpose.
