Terms of Use

These terms of use are subject to change without notice and were last updated on 31 December 2010.

You should carefully read this agreement. It is intended to assist in the smooth operation of the Jedi School website (http://jedischool.org/). If you do not agree to these terms of service, you may not continue to use the facilities at the Jedi School website.

  1. Grant of limited license to use this web site: Those who intend to access this site (the "users") may use the facilities herein strictly for the purposes for which they were clearly intended, and shall request clarification if there is the perception of unintended use at any time. Users who are not active for 30 consecutive calendar days shall have their accounts deleted for the sake of management. Users whose accounts are necessarily deleted for breaches of conduct may also have their email, IP address, and other identifying information blocked, at the option of this site's administration.
  2. Eligibility: All users who are granted access shall be deemed eligible for user access. Such eligibility is entirely at the discretion of the administration of the web site. The application process is intended to screen applicants and to assist determination of which applicants are serious about their spiritual education. As such, this site operates on a religious basis. This site does not disqualify candidates on the basis of gender, sexual orientation, nationality, heritage, academic status, political status, or religion. However, preference is given to those who have prior experience with the Jedi faith for the sake of expediency.
  3. Ownership: All materials, except where otherwise indicated, are released to the public domain, where such rights are clearly within the scope of copyright or patent protections. In such cases, copyrights shall be relegated to the copyright holder(s), and patents shall be used within the licensing agreement(s) or as intended by the patent rights holder(s). Original content remains the property of the originator.
  4. Security: All users are responsible for the use of their username/password combination which is used to access this site. Unauthorized access shall be grounds for summary termination of access to restricted areas until such time as correct user access can be revalidated by the administration of the Jedi School website.
  5. User Conduct: Users may not use the Jedi School website''s facilities to harass, stalk, intimidate or be otherwise hostile toward any user. Users shall refrain from use of the web site''s facilities to violate any law. Users shall not disclose information which they are not authorized to disclose. Users will not claim to represent Jedi School where such is clearly unsupported by Jedi School. Violations of user conduct may result in account deletion, suspension, or ban.
  6. Controversial Materials: We occasionally employ items which are of a controversial nature. In all cases, staff shall document when and under what circumstances such imagery is to be used. We employ confirmation of community standards when there is a question about the use of such materials, and will do everything in our power to ensure that these items are used responsibly, and that those who are either restricted from such materials or who have specific objections have the opportunity to voice an opinion before seeing the image, and before proceeding to do work on the topic. Controversial materials may include shocking images from wars, genocides, torture, criminal violence, accidents, and so forth; as well as images which some may consider to be of a pornographic or otherwise inappropriate nature. In all cases, age verification is required by the administration before any such materials are employed in education.
  7. Spirituality: The facilities herein are used expressly for esoteric education about spirituality from a Jediist perspective. The topics may therefore be uncomfortable in nature, difficult to comprehend, and unfamiliar to those who are not used to the concepts which are taught. As such, there is the potential for feeling offended. Such offense shall not be the responsibility of the user and the user agrees to hold harmless the Jedi School website, its administration, and all organizations with which the Jedi School is affiliated. In addition, the esoteric nature of the education requires that some portions are personal to the individual student, so that some students advance more quickly than others. This is natural, normal for operation, and does not imply any favoritism where employed. This means that the student agrees to accept the determination of any instructor with regard to their ability to advance and be recognized for achievement.
